I recently purchased a pure western tornado hat, and I was very impressed with the quality, the fit and the price of the hat as well as the overall service and shipping / postage which was fast as I am country customer. I can therefor highly recommend Allington's.

Pure Western Tornado wool felt hat

A nice practical daily wear, although a higher crown would be nice. Mine is slowly starting to become broken in. Honestly I prefer the Thomas Cook Station as a comfortable hat as the extra 1cm crown allows for better air flow. If you are like me and like a variety of hats, the Tornado is a good quality hat that you can bash for your own style or the style you feel on the day. Remember that this is a 'stiff' hat and will not travel well if you intent to put in in a bag or leave it on a car seat for a person to sit on. If not on a rack or in a safe place the Tornado should be on your head. For the traveler looking for a more 'situational hat' check out one of the crushable variety found in the Allington catalogue. The Tornado is a well priced hat and feels like a decent quality that will last many seasons. My only decision now is what colour to buy next.
