This Shipping & Delivery policy outlines how we process, dispatch and deliver orders placed through allingtons.com.au. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.


Shipping Rates

We offer Australia-wide shipping using Australia Post and selected courier partners.

Standard shipping - Australia
  • Free for orders over $150

  • $12.95 for orders $149.99 and under

Express shipping - Australia
  • Flat rate $20

Additional Conditions
  • Bulky items are excluded from free shipping

  • Some remote or regional locations may incur additional freight charges

  • We reserve the right to adjust shipping charges where freight costs exceed standard rates. You will be contacted before dispatch

  • All prices are in AUD and include GST

Order Processing & Dispatch

  • Orders are typically ready within 1-2 business days

  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next business day

  • During peak periods, promotions or stock delays, dispatch times may be extended

  • Dispatch time refers to when your order leaves our warehouse and does not include delivery time.

Where an item is unavailable:
  • We may contact you to arrange a backorder, substitution or refund

We may dispatch orders in multiple shipments where required.



Delivery Timeframes

Delivery timeframes begin once your order has been dispatched.

As a general guide:

  • Standard delivery can take 3 to 10 business days

  • Remote and isolated areas may take longer

  • Express Post is the fastest Australia Post parcel service, but delivery times still depend on the destination and Australia Post’s network

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary due to carrier delays, weather events, peak periods or other factors outside our control.


Tracking

All shipped orders include tracking.

Once your parcel has been dispatched, we’ll email you your tracking number so you can follow the delivery via Australia Post.

Delivery Conditions

  • Deliveries are completed by third-party carriers

  • A signature may be required on delivery

  • If no one is available to sign for the delivery, the parcel may be:

    • Left in a safe place (Authority to Leave), or

    • Redirected to a local collection point

If Authority to Leave is used:
  • The parcel is deemed delivered once left at the premises

  • We are not responsible for loss, theft or damage after delivery

Delivery outcomes are subject to the carrier’s policies and your delivery preferences.


Parcel Protection

Parcel protection is available at checkout for an additional fee of $2.99 per parcel.

Parcel protection is NON-Refundable.

If selected:
  • Your order is covered for loss, theft or damage in transit

  • We will replace or refund your order where a valid claim is approved

If parcel protection is not selected:
  • Risk transfers to you once the order has been dispatched

  • We will assist with carrier enquiries but cannot guarantee replacement or refund


Bulky Items

Items marked Bulky Item are excluded from free shipping.

For bulky items, we deliver Free On Board to a metro Adelaide depot. From there, freight to your final delivery address must be arranged by the customer and any related charges are payable by the customer.

Risk transfers once goods are delivered to the nominated depot.


International Orders

We can offer international shipping, on request, for selected products.

  • Shipping costs, delivery timeframes and availability vary by destination

  • A quote must be obtained prior to placing an order

  • Customs duties, taxes and import fees are the responsibility of the customer

  • Delays due to customs clearance are outside our control

  • If a shipment is refused or unclaimed, return freight and associated costs may be deducted from any refund

Incorrect Addresses & Delivery Issues

You are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.

If incorrect or incomplete details are supplied:
  • Delivery delays may occur

  • Additional redelivery or return fees may apply

  • We are not responsible for loss resulting from incorrect address details


Returned to Sender / Unclaimed Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us due to:
  • Incorrect address

  • Failure to collect

  • Delivery refusal

We may:
  • Charge a redelivery fee, or

  • Deduct shipping and return costs from any refund

Delivery Delays & Carrier Issues

We are not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers.

This includes:

  • Postal network delays

  • Weather disruptions

  • Industrial action

  • Peak period congestion

We will assist where possible but cannot control carrier timeframes.


Lost or Damaged Items

If your parcel is lost or arrives damaged:

  • Contact us as soon as possible with your order number

  • Supporting information may be required (photos, carrier confirmation, etc.)

Claims will be assessed based on:

  • Whether parcel protection was selected

  • Carrier investigation outcomes

We offer Click & Collect from our Parafield store, SA.

Orders are typically ready within 1–2 business days

You will be notified when your order is ready for pickup

Yes, orders sent via Australia Post can be delivered to PO Boxes.

Your parcel may be left in a safe place or taken to a local Post Office.
What if my parcel is lost?
If parcel protection was selected, we will replace or refund your order once confirmed.
If not selected, we will assist with a carrier enquiry.
Can I change my delivery address after ordering?
Contact us immediately. Changes are not guaranteed once processing has begun.
