Seven Reasons Why Clothes are the Perfect Easter Present
Author: Warren James Date Posted:12 April 2022
The supermarkets are stacked to the brim with chocolate eggs, if you are lucky, you are planning your long weekend away, and Easter Bunny is getting ready for his big egg deliveries. Easter is FINALLY here!
With the knowledge that I might upset some of you chocolate lovers out there (I apologize in advance), I have decided to count down the top 7 reasons why clothes make a great gift this Easter.
1. Your Waistline
New clothes will make you look and feel amazing. Chocolate… not so much. Well, that’s a lie. Initially, you’ll be in heaven. Especially if you’re eating Lindt or Cadbury…okay, don’t get distracted.
After this fleeting euphoria, you’re likely to be lying face down in a food coma and your pant size has increased by two sizes.
2. Chocolate is Temporary…Country Fashion is Forever.
Now, I’m not hating on chocolate; It’s amazing. But a mouth-watering creme egg just doesn’t have the shelf life of, say… a new denim jacket, or a fresh pair of boots.
Your new duds will remain in your wardrobe for years to come, and as more Easters pass, your wardrobe will be bursting with style, rather than your stomach bursting out of your shirt.
3. ‘Tis the Season
Easter falls on the verge of winter every year (at least, In the land down under it does). This makes it the perfect time to indulge in some new winter wear, or give it as the perfect gift!
Don’t use your extra easter layer for warmth when you can layer up with a brand-new jacket or hoodie.
4. Look Great Through the Long Weekend
Few things in this life feel better than going out in a new outfit. Your confidence rises, your swagger increases, you don’t find yourself walking anymore … you’re strutting.
The long weekend is an awesome chance to get out there, relax, catch up with friends or family, or hit the town if that’s what you’re into.
If you’re going to do it, do it with style in a new outfit.
5. No Wild Sugar Frenzy
This one goes out to all the parents out there. We don’t need to talk about how much sugar goes into chocolate, and let’s be honest, you probably don’t want to think about it.
Tell the Easter Bunny to take a few eggs out of the basket this year and come to Allingtons. It might just keep the kids from bouncing off the walls … for a second or two.
6. No Sick Dog
We all know chocolate is bad for dogs! If your dog is anything like mine, they’re obsessed with devouring anything and everything. Sadly, that thin layer of foil on the outside of an Easter Bunny is the equivalent of trying to keep a lion away with a T-shirt.
Don’t let your furry friend get his paws on that sweet treat this Easter. Remember to hide your eggs well, away from prying eyes, or sugar-sniffing dogs.
7. Get the Best of Both Worlds
Well, why don’t we have both?
The Easter Egg is here to stay; they serve as an important symbol for millions and a delicious treat for smiling kids all over the world.
Here are a few ideas: An easter bunny fits perfectly in a new pair of boots. A dozen or so chocolate eggs also slot nicely into a classic country or western hat. Even the pocket of a shirt works well for a hiding spot, just don't forget they are there!
Whatever you choose to do this Easter and whether it involves chocolate or not, we wish you a safe and happy time with your family and friends.
Let us know how where Easter Bunny hides your eggs. Or do you have an Easter tradition that doesn't involve the good old chocolate egg? We would love to hear about it.
